Sophisticated aromas of fresh rose, zesty red grapefruit, dried strawberry and tobacco.
Simone Nannetti only produces his Brunello Riserva from the best Sangiovese grapes. They grow on a dedicated two hectare-parcel less than 1 km east of Montalcino. Only 2,000 bottles of this wine is produced in the best years, and each bottle is hand-numbered to show its exclusivity.
Cava d’Onice Brunello Riserva is aged for five years. The wine spends the first three years in 1,000-litre French and Slavonian oak barrels. It then rests for the final two years in a temperature-controlled cellar, where it develops its complex flavours.
Tasting notes
Gorgeous wine with fragrances of fresh rose and the savoury citrus undertone of red grapefruit. On the palate, it offers notes of dried strawberry, sandalwood and sweet pipe tobacco.
