Super Tuscan wine from southern Maremma with flavours of blueberry, chocolate cake and dry herbs

Juicy, with notes of dark berries and chocolate cake, this Super Tuscan red blends classic Italian and French grapes. Its formula includes 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 20% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Pugnitello. The wine bursts with flavour, while offering a surprisingly low level of alcohol.

“Tilaria” comes from the hills of southern Maremma, where medieval forts overlook the Tyrrhenian sea. There, soil is rich in iron oxide (“terre rosse”), and the microclimate is shaped by sea breezes.  This creates a particular growing environment where even late-ripening grapes can reach their full potential while retaining fresh acidity.

Tasting notes

Opens up with notes of dog-rose and dry Tuscan herbs (oregano, rosemary). Juicy acidity on the palate with flavours of black forest berries and chocolate cake. Very dark and tannic. Finishes with a lingering note of juniper berry.
