A limited-edition blend of malts from Speyside and Highland distilleries wholly matured in first fill Oloroso sherry casks
A whisky to savour, Clydebuilt Coppersmith oozes opulence and stunning cask maturation with a super balance of sweet and spicy, heather honey, sultanas and very dark chocolate, with a long, dry finish. It is made of malts selected and blended with great skill by Max McFarlane, master whisky maker at Ardgowan Distillery Co.
Coppersmith is the first in a series of limited edition Clydebuilt whiskies which the Ardgowan Distillery will release in the years ahead. Each bottle in the Clydebuilt series will celebrate the pride shown by generations of workers on the Clyde, who together built some of the world’s most illustrious ships. The River Clyde has been a centre for the craft of shipbuilding for hundreds of years. It was here that highly-skilled craftsmen built some of the world’s most illustrious ships: ships like the Cutty Sark, the Lusitania, HMS Hood, the Queen Mary and the QE2.
It is this spirit that is to be found in every bottle of Clydebuilt whisky. For what is well built is Clydebuilt, and Clydebuilt is built with pride.
