Limited edition Negroamaro wine from a 1935 vineyard. Concentrated flavours of dried prunes, cinnamon, chocolate and black pepper
This wine is the essence of Puglia’s most prized grape – Negroamaro: deep, rich and smooth.
It has dark ruby colour. Nero di Velluto offers pronounced, enchanting aromas of dried prunes, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate – a combination which feels almost magical. Its velvety, rounded body is complemented by hints of tobacco and black pepper, with the fresh acidity of ripe apples. This wine is released at a limited scale of 10,000 bottles – all hand-numbered. It is only produced in good years, from grapes grown in a vineyard dating back to 1935. Try it while stocks last.

Wine Geek –
This wine was so delicious. This winemaker (Feudi) makes really nice reds from Negroamaro, but this wine was the best I tried from them. I think if it was from the North of Italy it would cost at least double. It was a bit on the side of dried fruits (it’s 2014 after all), but quite fresh in the same time. To be frank I did not bother having any food with it, just drank it as it is.

Delicious deep flavours, perfect with tomato based dishes.
